Our skilled technologists use the latest imaging services to serve our patients. Through new technology and our commitment to a high standard of care, our imaging professionals work together to provide top quality imaging services to our community.
Recent additions to our technical enhancements include the new Fuji picture archiving and communications system (PACS). PACS permits the viewing, transmitting and storing of images electronically. Both patients and staff benefit from the numerous advantages of a digital system.
The Imaging Department at UM CRMC has a new Interventional Suite which offers several services to patients. Using the new GE Innova(TM) 4100, a digital flat-panel x-ray system, excellent image quality shows the tiniest of vessels in detail. Comparing the Innova 4100’s digital system to film is like comparing hi-definition TV to regular TV. A digital image has a much higher resolution, so radiologists can see much more detail in the images. Our new equipment allows the physician to view the vessels and correct the problem with some of the following techniques: Angioplasty, Stenting, Cryoplasty, and Atherectomy.
